Starts out like a mango pineapple daiquiri with a hint of rum (not boozy in any means). This mix drink is for the lightweights, the ones who like their cocktails more juicy/sweet than alcohol-y. Then the sandalwood and ambroxan kicks in, giving it a slight rubbery scent on me, but this gets better with each wear. Also, I am not a fan of either notes because my skin tends to turn rubbery, but not terrible in Carioca Heart. The drydown is where I hit gold: the sandalwood gives a creamy touch to the vanilla. The milky white liquid gives this scent a resemblance to coconut milk. It’s not overly creamy but more of a watery coconut (with very slight sun tan vibes but quickly fades). I don’t like to drink coconut milk but if it had a scent, this is what I imagine it to smell like. Gardenia, Tuberose, Patchouli are all in here with a touch of powdery-ness. I know... who am I? This is a white floral bomb and you know I would be the last one caught wearing those notes BUT... it was a happy accident. I received a sample with purchase, which the sales lady randomly through in, and I forced myself to try it as a part of my Sample Sundays reel. To my surprise, I did not hate it. Why is there a tortilla in the background of the picture you ask. Well, strangely, this opens with hot steamy tortilla and lemon. Let me start by saying, I am not a fan of white florals, which is what the J’adore line is known for, especially lily-of-the-valley, but Infinissime had my attention. Everything is perfectly blended. I get the blood orange in the opening but not overly citrusy or tangy, and it mixes with the florals quite smoothly (no kick from the pink pepper). The almond milk makes this a wearable lactonic for me, because I am not a fan of milky scents. It reminds me of White Chocolate mocha with a pump of caramel syrup. Opens like the original but with a sprinkle of sweet fruits and less coconut, which makes this less cloying for the hotter weather. The dry down is a light vanilla icing (closer to the skin), instead of the thick heavy praline scent like the original. Muhwagua (무화과) means fig in Korean and that is exactly how it smells. Opens with a fresh green fig but dries down a little creamier and sweeter like a fig with cream. Got Rice? Nothing beats that initial smell of freshly steamed rice 🍚, when you open the rice cooker. As a rice lover, it melts my heart every time and this is what I get with L’eau Papier. You get the mimosa in the opening that gives it the rice note, but the dry down is a smooth and warm roasted sesame scent. Probably one of my favorite fig scent. This is a clean green fig but not sharp because the iris and coconut smooths it out without being overly present. The fig is unripened and linear. Don’t be fooled by the name, this is not firey spicey or intense scent like the name entails. Opens with Juicy ripened mango with a splash of tamarind spice. Beastly projection and slowly dries down to a mango version of Baccarat Rouge 540. Although listed, I do not get any oud or wood. Mostly bright and fruity mango. You need to like patchouli for this one to be enjoyable. I do not like patchouli, cognac, or honey all that much so it’s not a surprise I do not like this one at all. Why did I buy it? Cold is the best way to describe this fragrance. That chilly feeling you get right after you drink a tall glass of ice cold water, or when you take a whiff of cold winter air 🥶. Immediately the bottle reminded me of the rose from “Beauty & the Beast” so I was inspired to makes this themed reel. In Full Bloom is a very green rose. I can smell the stem of the rose along with the sweet notes of pink roses. I don’t get any green tea or fruits but mostly a very floral scent. If you told me this was Ari’s tropical flanker, I would believe you. Bella Essence share many notes with Ari (raspberry, grapefruit, vanilla, rose), so the resemblance makes sense, but with an added twist. You know I hate patchouli but it gives a layer of sexiness to this tropical scent without it smelling dirty. This is in the same family as Lamar without the thick cloying vanilla dry down. Not a love at first sniff but my love grew deeper and deeper with each wear. The first time smelled more herbal and leathery. The second wear became more creamy and leathery than herbal. The more I wore it, the less herbally it smelled but rather more creamy leathery mango. The mango scent stays almost throughout the whole wear except for the dry down, and although I’m not a big leather fan, somehow Mr. Lucas did it right. I first tried this last year in Jan./Feb., when it was still kinda cold, and did not love it. It felt more aromatic and less fruity, which was a let down for me because (based on the notes) I was looking forward to a fruity floral. I ended up moving this to my April Tray this year and, to my surprise, I fell in love 😻.  •  The warm April weather really brings out the fruits (more fruity than citrusy) but not in a syrupy way, rather more fresh fruit. This reminds me a lot of Estée Lauder Pleasures, but Spring Jasmine is more like the little sister and more affordable. Unlike Pleasures, Spring Jasmine has more Jasmine than lily-of-the-valley and although the notes includes cloves and peppers, there is not a strong trace of them. This should be called “Thé Citrus” because it opens up as a strong citrusy scent with some green tea note (I say green tea instead of matcha bc it lacks the depth of matcha and more light, like green tea).  • The citrus scent grows stronger throughout the wear and you only get a faint green tea note. The citrus scent is too sharp and screechy for my liking. Reminds me of unripened citrus fruits.
